Georgia’s Sky was painted upon returning from Abiqui, New Mexico where I toured Georgia’s O’Keefe’s home and studio in March of 2026.
The most poignant image in my mind after spending three days in Santa Fe and Abiqui was my view from inside her couryard in Abiqui. Georgia’s adobe courtyard walls reached high, touching the bluest of skies. The contrast of colors and textures between man-made walls and divine-made skies arrested my soul as something sacred.
This image continues to spark curiosity in me regarding the closeness of God to us as we move about this world and create our own masterpieces - all while dwelling in God’s.
